Subject: Question for the ladies with neck arther
Hi, its a bit personal but I have been getting pain in my breast,pain on lying or pressing it, no lumps or anything so not thinking the big c. But have read on net that Neck arther can cause it.Also my neck really cracks latley and been getting louder and more often. Seeing doc thursday. Does anyone else get this? Thanks love Jo

hi jo neck cracks quite bad and get prob with right side of chest where rib joins sternum but not breast please let us know how u go on

Hi Jo... u been in here b4? or r u a new jo? lol....anyway...when u turn your neck, does the pain in your Breast hurt?...could be a condtion called Costochondritis!! its pain between the the ribs(in the meat between the ribs, so to speak)...press inbetween the ribs on your chest wall....press and if it hurts, cld well be the condition Ive described...its inflamation of the meat(thats how a doc described that to me, soz lol)...BTW just to put your mind at rest...Breast Cancer does NOT hurt! fact...My mum died from that..... so I do know that as a fact...more like inflamation like I said b4...but go check it out anyway...but a good indicator is if u turn your head left and right, if u feel pain in that area, its probably costochondritis....ive had its many many times over the years... with regars your neck, the cracking they wont take notice of...is it causing U pain? ive only got 4 discs in my neck, we should all have 7...mine been eaten away by this inflamatory artha!! so i get a lot of neck pain shoulder, patella pain, and headaches etc ! anyway goood luck, let me know how u get on take care Jo jill x

Hi Val and Jill, yes its Jo from before :) sorry not been on for awhile. with the pain it mostly only hurts when press it or lay on it. could be costochondritis maybe. Seeing doc at hc thursday, going to try to get one tomorrow though. Seeing rheumy next week as well. Let you know how it goes when been to docs. Thanks for info ladies, hugs Jo

went to docs today, shes not sure what the pain is yet. Have to go back in 2 wks, then may have to re ref to breast clinic if no better.

Hi JO, try not worry ok...like u said in earlier postm u have no lumps etc...so that is good, and even if u had, there wouldnt be pain in pushing on it..... shame shes not sure, but at leasr she is sending u to the breast clinic....it will put yur mind at reszt, and it could simply be an inflamed bit of the breaast somwhwere, or maybe into the chest wall.... so please try not worrry too much ok...we r all here for u.....sounds like inflamation to me..... take care sweetie , keeep us informed, or we will worrry bout u xxxx

Does seem to be a bit better at last, but going back next week to see gp. My Mum died of breast cancer that had mastisized (sorry not sure of spelling) last year, but Im not really thinking its this. Hugs to you Jo xx

(((((jo)))))) My mum died ten years ago with the same....she died in St Thomas in London in the end, the consultant told me at the time, that it was the worst case of Breast cancer he had seen in 25 years, that was so aggressive!...Jo im here for u when ever u want to talk ok.... my mum was my best friend and two years after my mum died, my dad died from Brain tumour..... I recnetly had terrrible memory and becos I told my go my dad had brain tumour, he sent me to have a ct scan, came back clear, so do t worry they r sending u there....a goood few years back I had the most terrible bresat pain in my right, I did not think for a min that it was breast cancer.... they sent me for a mamogram, came bk clear, they r just ruling things out ok..... that pain I had in my breast was there for years, but I now know it was due to inflamation of the tissue, due to this con dition that took offf back in 2002.... I was like u, did not think for a mo that it was breast cancer...., anyway.. Jo just remind me, what painkillers r u on at the mo? once i went on the stronger types, the bresat pain went...... lots love to u xx

Hi Jill, thanks for your support, hugs xoxo. I'm on codeine phosphate and paracetamols at the mo. cant take anti immflams, get tight chest with them. can take a max 60mg of the codeine at a time with the paracetamol, does help. Sorry to here about your mum and dad, its hard without both parents even at our age. my dad died 22 years ago of leukimia, sorry cant spell. I do miss my mum a lot, she lived with us.
