Hi guys, just to say I'm going for one weeks respite, intence physio and going into the hydropool to ease my weary bones ;-), I'm off in the morning. Looking forward to it.

No it's through the healthboard, when I went to see my consultant he said the hydropool might do me good so he brings me into a rheumathology ward. I may even get two weeks, it's great.;-)

u get taken into hospital for a w3eek, possibly two? im pleased for u, of course, but I cannot beleive ive never heard of this, ive had 7 ops since 2003 and due another spine op(fusion) huge op that is to...after my first spine op, I had to fight to get into hydrotherapy!...think im goona look into this and maybe complain, becoz im chronic, thanks for the info Bernie, and enjoy your peace and rest...lots love Jill x ps who told u about it?? u say healthboard, not heard of them either?? xx

hi jill i just coming to the end of a 8 week hyprotherapy course the pool is great tiring but makes you feel great it was my rheumy consultant that sent me to help keep my joints mobile i see him again tomorrow so ask you consultant the nxt time you see him lol

My Mum goes to respite and when I got sick she told me to ask for it. The healthboard,is the Irish equivilent to your NHS. It's a great service. I'm sitting here in the hospital, looking out the window and on my PC, it's great, really resting. I'll go for physio later. Waiting on rhummy to come back to me with a plan for the week. I'll keep you posted.

hi bernie that sounds great went swimming twice a day while on hol water was nice and warm made me feel much better more flexable and stronger so u should do great good luck

Bernie thanks for ya post, ya so lucky just to get away.....I need respite for mental health, but I cant leave my kids amongst all this mayhem at home....caused by an 11 year old son! anyway Bernie, u get all u can out of that ok my sweet, keep us posted ok lots love xx

Shazzza I did have hydro therapy, appprox 6 months AFTER my spine and knee ops, I had to fight for it...got it eventually, but huge waiting list, bit I want what Bernies having LOL.....respite or what....sounds like a spa break...I cld do with that right now.....Shazz Y cant they keeep u on it? is there a waiting list? take care okx
