Bit late to this topic but I have an under active Thyroid (i take Tyroxine for it) and occasionally palpitation, not sure if the 2 are connected in any way though.

Don't know if you know this Lynne. But if it turns out you do have a Thyroid problem and you are presently paying for all your prescriptions for your current illness/'s, then you won't have to pay anymore as it is all free when you have Thyroid problems as you need to be on permanent meds for it. I can't undertand why this isn't the case for Arthritis tbh as it's permanent too and we need constant medication for that also. Anyway as i say if you are diagnosed with Thyroid problems you won't need to pay anymore for ANY of you current meds including Arthritis ones.

Hth's :o)

Take care xhugsx

Awwww Lynnnne, when did u start feeeling Poo!! Ive had most of mine removed(mentioned in past post) however I am not on thyroxine...i Have blooods for thyroid done regularly... alll seeems ok.....becos they took most of it away in 1994, there is a tendancy for me to become Underactive...and sometimes im Borderline Underacvtive, but my Gp reassures me there is a Window of acceptance.... hea a gr8 GP, I do get sluggish but I put that down to my illnesss....Amber I get Pals too LOL...seeems ive got the friggging lot..... but I dont let them worry me, have had regular heart tests(forgot the word now...) My Mum had Over active thyroid.... and My Dad had same as me, we have a huge Growth on the thyroid...Ive also had Acremegaly(pituatry gland tumour) sorry sounds terrrible, but its now gone...runs in my family.... no rhyme or reason y it begins, or Y it stops.....Been told my endocrine specialist that thyroid is part and parcel of Arthritis etc.... fab huh ? Lynnnne goood luck, please please post and let me know how ya gettting on xx

Hi vicky have they done blood tests for that. You can have it done at your GPs surgery. I've just been tested and it's fine. Could be worth looking into take care.. Xx
