hi guys finding it to hot to sleep so thought would c if any one else is up and about? keep spray near bed to spray feet with cool water this usually helps but not to night how do u all keep cool? will go back to bed in a bit when oh gets up 4 work (starts early) will b much cooler then :-)

Hi Val i'm up as well just can't settle like u say just to hot it's 4.20 and its funny cause i feel cool on the skin but absolute sweating and hot inside perhaps i'm having a flush as well lol god age is creeping up on me lol x

old age a bit of a pain i am at that age but take tabs to stop flushes started a little early (44) so taking tabs till reach 50 for bones higher risk of ostioperocis(no way that spelt right)

haha no worrys val i'm not that good at spelling.
well i'm 47 and just starting it but i know the flushes can go on for years can't they. Does it mean that when u go through the change it can make your osteo worse then, actually i suppose it makes sence really with the body changing and bones getting brittle.

bones can get brittle doc says going through change puts risk much higher of getting brittle bones started with arth. about same time started getting probs with joints did not realise to start with as was just lower back then hands and feet started and found doc who did blood tests and explained what was what thought it was in head or was falling to bits u know how it is?

Oh right ye i know what u mean i may well have had arthritis for a while but not really know as always had a bad back since i was 16 but got worse as i got older but just lived with the pain but this in the hands came as a complete shock i was very lucky i got seen quickly though and i mmust say they have been great in the hospital i think thats brilliant because so many people have wrote on early posts about waiting ages and not getting any meds etc so i'm lucky there.

u sounded as though u needed them i think some times they not sure what wrong with people and dont want to give toxic drugs if something else will work better can understand it just glad i get it mild dont know how people cope when very bad not got ra so lucky there and doing what i can with diet exercise ect to help stop getting to bad to quick.need to loose weight size18/20 not good

Hi gals I bought one of those ocilating desk fans. I put that on when it's tooooo Hot, does the trick for me. Have it on at night, I don't mind the slight humm it makes. If it bothers you, could always wear ear pugs.
