your trainer has either been very bright for a trainer or a bit silly? he s probably talking about glucose although glucosamine is a naturally occuring substance and is a sugar produced in animal's bodys and in yours from glucose, it is used in the maintenance and regeneration of healthy cartilage in joints.
Glucosamine sulphate helps the body repair damage and wear and tear to cartilage and is a natural process that your body is doing all by its self all the time regardless of if you have taken the suppliment
glucosamine sulfate is a normal constituent of glycoaminoglycans in cartilage matrix and synovial fluid it is thought taking glucosamine sulphate can strenghten cartlidge and aid in glycosaminoglycan synthesis.
it only works when it gets absorbed into the body - the problem Glucosamine sulphate is a very large sized molecule too large to pass easily through the small pores in the capillary walls. It just doesn't get to where it's needed, it mainly stays in the blood and get expelled as waste.
this may be why it works for some and not for others?
so i guess we better keep taking it and see if it makes a difference to us?
it generally takes around three months for any benefit to be seen so be patient and maybe take a diary so you can document your findings and be better prepared to make a descision on if it worked for you?
sometimes we miss these small changes and dismiss these things as being no good when they have infact had a beneficial impact.
lots of factors in our lives affect how we feel and small changes as provided by suppliments can be disregarded because the suppliment didnt work miracles right away. stick at it.
