after being told I had osteo, its now been confirmed I have sero negative a type of rhumatoid arthritis that doesn't show up on blood tests, I also suffer with SMA spinal muscular atropy mainly on my right side ( weak muscles and a type of lower motor neurone disease) plus my back has spondelothesis my L5 lumber is out by 8 mm, I'm having spinal injections for the pain next week, through a pain control clinic at the hospital, all that along with underactive thyroid type 2 diabetes stomach ulcer/erosions high BP and cholesterol and now fibroids, i'm a bit of a mess, I am due to see a surgeon again to see about a total wrist replacement or a fusion he was keen for a wrist replacement but wants the surgeon who will do it to say yes or no, I'm a bit messed up as I also need toe joint fusions and my other wrist is going to need ops later on, my back is unstable and I may need a big op for that, plus I need an op for fibroids has anyone else had wrist replacement ops I'm told they are rare, or been diagnoised with sero negative arthritis,

Hiya Michelle, I was diagnosed with Sero Negative Arthritis in December just gone. It all started and was dignosed within a year, Mine hasn't shown up on any blood tests either. The Rhuemy diagnosed it based on my ESR constantly rising. I have been on Sulfasalizine for 8 weeks now, and it has gone down from 105 to 25 although the aches and pains are still present. No one in my family have this although a lot of reles do have Osteo plus my dad did and my sister. I sometimes wonder if mine could be Osteo but neither my sis or dad ever had a high ESR.
