Subject: time of work

I have had a lot of time off work lately with my srthritis and continued upper respirtary infectionii also have asthma and depression.
I am a teaching assistant and work 3 and half days
work are not supportive and basically said them may have to sack me.i have askedthem to make an occupational therapy appointment for me. I am seriously thinking that i will have to give up work but i really cannot afford too. my husband had to retire on sickness(depression)he is also not being very supportive and doing nothing round the house for me..does anyone have any advice

Hi Karen, I think you need to get some advice from either your union or CAB. I might be wrong, but I don't think they are allowed to sack you because of a health condition. OT should also help you.

Have a look at this too, if you have an ongoing condition for a year, your are classes as disabled, I believe. Though don't quote me on any of this.
