Subject: Humiera and 'burning' knees!

Hi all, i have been injecting humira once a fortnight for nearly 2 years now. often on the day i do the injection, i feel like my knees are burning. they feel hot (but not swollen) it is a most peculiar sensation!I often feel pain in my joints up to 24 hours after the injection, then feel fine.
I have psoriatic arthritis (since 14)i am now 48, but i also have secondary osteo, and both knees are getting considerably worse. of course the Humira doesn't touch the osteo, so it's typical that as one form of arthritis gets better the other one gets you!

Hi Tanya, I have been injecting Humira weekly since the summer of last year and felt better than I had done for 4 years, then in Feb my consultant dropped it to every fortnight, which has made a big difference my energy levels have dropped the pain has come back, I feel that I have gone back a step. Anyway yes my joints really hurt for about 24-48 hours after especially my shoulders then it gets easier. I also have Osteo in my knees and will be having a total right knee replacement in August (finally I got someone to listen) if that all goes to plan hopefully get the left one done.

This is a really good site for sharing & caring Jill is usually the one that keeps us all smiling she's a wonderful person.

Take Care. Sue
