Subject: Re: enbrel/humira injections
I think that they will do your DAS score to assess if you meet the criteria. If you do you will be assessed again in about four weeks time and if you meet the criteria then they will put you forward for anti tnf's. I had to have various blood test done and a chest xray once I met the criteria. At my hospital the funding is automatically there, but at some hospitals they have to apply to the Trust for funding (these are expensive drugs). I don't think I have heard of anyone being refused funding. NRAS sent my a biological booklet explaining all the different drugs and how they work. Here are two web pages that you may want to look at about DAS scores. If you copy and paste them into your browser you should be able to get them up. https://healthunlocked.com/nras/posts/11874/disease-activity-score-das http://www.4s-dawn.com/DAS28/DAS28.html Paula
