Subject: The Sun...

Hi all, I'm currently on methotrexate, leflunomide and infliximab infusions. I'm fair skinned and have always been careful in the sun even before my RA. Since my rheumy added infliximab to my drugs cocktail, I've noticed this summer I am catching the sun very quickly (use Factor 30). Has anyone else noticed this? x

Hi Rachel, I only have to be in the sun for ten minutes and i get very red, especially around the chest area. I also take mtx and plaquenil, etc and i think it's either the mtx or plaquenil that makes us so sentitive towards the sun. I get rituximab infusions now. When i was on Enbrel i had to get a basal cell removed from my neck, so it is well worth checking for any moles etc regularly. x
