Hi lol, I take 10 tablets of mtx a week (25mg)

When I first went onto them I was told to take 1 folic acid a week. But that was a mistake by my g.p. While taking 1 folic acid I felt a bit sick. But been taking 1 folic acid every day now and no sickness feeling. I still don't have much of an appetite and like you eat because I have to, lots of my tablets cant be taken on empty stomach. I don't think the sickness feeling gets worse, rather the opposite it gets better.

I will say that the day after taking my tablets I do feel a little bit tired and could fall asleep quite easily but its only for the day after.

I was terrified in beginning but now find that after all the help and support on the forum I don't worry about it as much. Hope you find the tablets help you.
xx

hi lol , I am the same as Julie & take 25mg & 6 folic acid tablets a week , & with no side effects & would recommend asking for your folic acid to be increased because it will help with the felling sick

I have just had my dose increased from 7.5mg a week to 10mg and 2 folic acid I also have to have blood tests every 2 weeks. Have any of you peeps had a sore mouth? I have some pretty big ulcers on my tongue making it painful to eat and drink.

Hi Alison
In the past I have had mouth ulcers, I rang g.p.'s and got a spray for them which worked really quickly. Since being on folic acid 6 days a week I don't get them now.

I would mention the ulcers to your g.p. because as you say its not easy to eat which isn't good.
