Subject: Anyone know much about the different blood test names & levels?
Hi While I have a list of the different names & levels, I dont understand them when I google them as they contradict one another Can anyone help? Thanks in advance (with hope) Karen

hi Karen C-Reactive Protein (CRP) and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) are the main two they used to messure inflammation , CRP is normaly below 5 , and with people with inflammatory arthritos like RA tends to go up to 10 - 30 , it is also used to messure infections in people ESR is more of a personal result & good guide to how you yourself is feeling as the results vary from peron to person

sorry Karen , cant help with any of those , with Methotrexate I get given monthly blood test booklet which records the foloowing Hb , MCV , WBC , Plateletes , Neurophils , Lymphocytes , ALT , Creatinine , CRP , ESR , the booklet is supplied by national Patients Safety Agency

Thanks anyway Colin I know the tests are to do with mixed connective tissue disorder but wanted to find out more Thanks for your help, how long have you been on mtx?
