Subject: Lumps

I have a large lump come up on the back of my ankle above my heel and a small lump on my other ankle. does anyone know if these lumps have anything to do with having RA

Yes probably, Julie. They are called nodules. Part of the disease I am afraid.

I have a small one on my heel too, it is not painful, but they are unsightly.

Hopefully yours may go away on its own. Mention it to your GP.

Thank you Emm for replying 1 of the lumps is quiet large so thats why i didnt think it was a nodule and also is causing me some pain when i walk as if its pulling, i did read on here somewhere that Methotrexate can cuse these but mine seem to have got worse since i have been off the drug since september.
