Subject: Had enough today - fed up beyond belief
Just tried to eat my evening meal and I've had to throw it away asI ccouldn't cut it up, even though it was soft is food. It was bad enough having to eat my dinner with a spoon. My hands are really really hurting now.

Hi Rachael, I really feel for you, I have suffered such a lot with my hands, sometimes coudlnt even open them and it was painful holding a knife and fork, (I used to find using a bag of frozen peas to cool them down was helpful) but since I have been taking oral steroids I am pain free. Don't know if its just the steroids or combination of other drugs but please speak to your rheumatology department and get some help, don't suffer, the pain can be unbearable. Only problem is with oral steroids or any steroids its only a quick fix and Im not sure how long you can be on them for. Hope you get some relief soon. Do you have regular appointments at a clinic - sorry I don't even know if you have RA or not.

Thanks Julie. I'm not much better today. I think this could be a flare. I can hardly walk and stairs a nightmare. I've got Inflammatory Arthritis, but, consultant is leaning towards PSa as I've had psoriasis all my life. I'm seeing my rheumatologist on Thurs and starting methotrexate on Friday.
