Subject: dont think my symptoms add up is any1 else like me
Hi all been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis for 8 yrs. it happened one night at work I was fine one miniute and the nxt I knew my knee was like a foot ball and the pain was out this world.every few wks I get these flareups usualy either in my knees elbows hips ankle and jaw. Sometimes 2 or more joints will fill with the fluid making the joint hot and unbearable. I was up tuesday nite sobbing in pain I had taken triple the amount of my morphine tabs, with iburophen yet the pain wldnt go. I was unable to get in a taxi to get to the hospital so I waited it out all nite till a family member was available with a bigger car. I got to my rhummy and he aspirated my knee elbow and wrist. Other than these episodes I have no symptoms of arthritis no stiffness ect any ideas

kylee , it dont make sence , those like myself with positive RF seem to get treated better by the doctors , but the results are the same & you can end up with joint damage , the heat is from inflammation & other problems that goes with RA like it affecting our eyes etc. & thier blood test dont always match up to how we are feeling when I fisrt had RA in mid 90s they done a Plasma viscosity blood tesr , "Plasma viscosity is used to monitor the same conditions that the ESR is. Although it is a technically superior test to the ESR, it is more difficult to perform and is not widely used." what drugs they giving you to control your arthritis , you need something like methotrexate , there are alot better drugs than iburophen & maybe ask for a Oruvail Gel which I use because cant take any Nsaid's

Yes my rhummy and docs seem to scratch there heads. My rhummy kept sayn I was in remission eve though I was getting very regular flares in my new. He reffered me to an orthapedic as hetsaid it must be a mechanical problem with knee. During this time I hd another flare and rhumy wudnt c me. So I went to a and e and hd to say my dog ran in to me just to get seen thank god a lovely orthapedic doc working that night drained my knee. I have currently started a uni course stuyn health science and biology I have applied for paramedic degree for this september, however think I may fail the health check as I also have m.s which is still in early stages and isnt noticable.
