Subject: Wrist Exercises

Hi, Ist post, so be gentle :) I've been diagnosed with OS in both wrists and have been told to execise them daily. My question is, if arthritis is caused by general "wear and tear" as the doctor says, isnt doing these exercises going to aggrivate the problem. Thanks, dave.

Hi Dave and welcome, Good point. I don't know, but I would say its to keep them moving. Be interesting to hear what others say.

As i understand it building up the muscles will take some strain off the joint. Good point though.

'Use it or lose it' is the saying. It's to do with the muscles, I believe, as Chris has said, they support and protect the joints to some extent.
