Subject: Can weather make you feel worse
I have not done a lot over the weekend. After shopping yesterday I felt really weary. It hit me all of a sudden. Today I ache all over.. feet and hips especially. Does the wet weather have any effect does anyone know?

Hi, I've noticed that the weather affects me. I find it really does influence how your joints are, there is no consistency with me it seems to move from ankles, knees, wrists and fingers. After a particularly bad flare due to wearing my pretty dolly shoes and bare ankles on a showery day!! I then spent the following two days in agony, so now always make sure they are covered, always listen to the forecast!!! Ha!! Take care Kat

Hi Kat, god help us in winter!! Mine seems to move around. One day its my ankles, then my wrists etc, etc. Sometimes it feels like my fingers "disclocate" .. probably not but thats the only way I can describe it. Still waiting for an appt for podiatry... my feet are really bad, as I'm on them all day at work. Thank god I only work 3 days.. lol.. Take care

Hi Linda I think the weather definitely affects your arthritis. I really suffer in the winter and rarely stray to far from the warmth of my home. I still work but like you now only manage 3 days a week, I find wearing things like thermal underwear on really cold or wet days helps not very sexy I know. I had a hip replacement 18 months ago but still feel awful the pain has just moved.

Hi Margie I'm always hot!...It's my age, lol. So I don't think I can manage thermals. Sorry you are still having trouble with your hip, you'd think it would be much better. Thanks for your reply. Nice to hear off you. Take care

Hi Linda, yes the weather has a dramatic influance on your condition. With me it is when a change occour, say when it goes from rain to sun or from sun to rain. It really is caused by the pressure in the sky, but I seem to be worse with the low pressure
