I'm a voice fan! Finding myself having a bit of a fancy for Tom Jones!!! Never liked him when I was younger!
I liked Mike with the 'country' sound. Leah and Andrea good too.
I enjoy tennis and was a bit gutted last Wimbledon when Murray went out. He did very well, also like Federer, I think he is handsome, but he is also Swiss like my family. He is a legend.
We have had quite nice day in Durham, but windy. Wow I've just said about the weather and suddenly rain is lashing against the window!

Hi all. It's (wait for it) warm and dry here, gasp. Very cloudy and thundery feeling though but it's such a treat not to be cold and wet. I think daily of the lovely summers we used to get - sitting in the garden at one in the morning because it was too hot to sleep. Those were the days, need an electric blanket all year now. Had my cocker spaniel trimmed today, he was beginning to resemble a woolly mammoth. Anyone else got pets?

If your family have always had a breed of dog you do seem to stick with them, my daughter has a labrador, it's her second. They have a lovely nature. I think she would always go for labs now.
My dad was a farmer, but I don't have any pets now, don't think I could manage any now with the RA. Also like to go on holiday a few times a year. Saying that I have not been with my friends much this year due to ankle and knee probs. Hope to get that sorted in July!!!
We have lovely weather here too, hope we don't get the thunder that's forecast!

I remember lots of summers like this in my childhood. Picnics in the car with everyone arguing and bits of boiled egg squashed into the seats; wrapped up in my swimming towel shivering on a pebble beach eating salty sandwiches; crouching under dripping trees in the garden with the pungent smell of wet earth filling my nostrils; swimming in the river in the rain watching the circles on the water. The latter my all time favourite thing to do in the rain!

Hi all. I was just wondering if anyone has relocated to Isle of Wight or Cornwall. We are thinking of retiring to one of these maybe and I'm trying to do a bit of research - healthcare in particular. I'm a bit worried about the subsidence issue on Wight, particularly the Ventnor area, resulting in high property insurance premiums. I've also read about Cornish locals being hostile to "immigrants" and it's been said it's difficult to buy large household items, due to poor availability. Any comments welcome, thanks.
