HI Patsy Sorry to hear you feel so bad. The sooner you get to the doctor the quicker he can start you on medication to help you. It must be so difficult with 2 kids as well. There are other mums on here that will give you advice. Never feel bad about how you feel it's all part and parcel of the RA. We are have floods of tears at some point so you are not alone, you just feel like you are. Are you on any painkillers or medication so far? Please make sure you keep that appointment even though it is so far away, they should beable to help you. Do let us know how you get on. sending lots of love and 'gentle' hugs to you

Thanks for support. App this Thur and im def going. Past year i've been on solpadol, zydol and valium. Been hard getting painkillers frm doc though, made me feel like im druggie. Having to get them sent frm pain consultant in hosp. Im recovering alcoholic (6years sober) so gp wary bout pills. Im going in though to say that jus cuz past issues it doesnt mean im not entitled to pain relief same as next person. Ive battled my drink demons and last thing i want is to have to take pills but dependant on them to reduce pain. Tara six kids? Wow, respect to you. Mus be tough. Been off full timr job since last year and officially left now this week which is upsetting cuz loved it. On the upside though they've given me years free health insurance hence three hour drive to rheumy. Live in Ireland and our public healthcare is joke.
