I have to go back to work and am worried I won'nt be able to manage, has anyone else suffered this after op.

Hi Margaret, I had total hip replacements in 2006 (right) and 2007 (left). I had some pain afterwards, but nothing like you are experiencing. I had pins and needles in my feet, along with some pain and clicking. This continued for about 2 years after my second one. I was referred for physio by my gp. It turned out out my whole posture was out. I was given exercises to do and the symptoms went. My wounds were sore for a long time afterwards. Also I don't recommend putting bio oil on them either, I tried it and it burned like hell. I hope this helps. Ruth

thanks a lot Ruth that is a great help it does get you down from time to time I try to stay positive but sometimes the halo slips. Doctor reffered me to physio months ago but I am still waiting to see them. I will have to have my left hip done but I've only got a couple of years left at work and I want to keep going if I can especially as it seems to take quite a while to get back on your feet. Keep smiling.
