Subject: Hydro pool
Had my first session in the pool today omg i thought it was great ! feeling a bit stiff and knees & back ache but i can't wait to go next week it's a shame i am only allowed 3 sessions because of funding but it has spured me on to try the local swimming pool, being a larger lady i feel self concious but what the hell lets go for it

hi Lorraine pleased its helped you , here in Cornwall we got some local hydro pools + the one at the hospital has clubs using them , myself find the normal swimming pools just stiffen up my joints

Hi Lorraine, it is a shame you only get three goes our nhs provides six. I found this helped but like Colin the cold pool is a nightmare for me, my joints hate it. I hope you find the swimming pool helps you after. Good luck to you and don't worry about being a larger lady there are a lot of us. LOL. Not being able to excercise doesn't help and of course steroids. I have been losing a little weight of late as my pain has been awful and appetite is not good. It will only be good in the long run as being overweight is not good for our joints. Take Care!!!
