Subject: steroid injections
Hi,
Oh pain. I had steroid injection last week, does anyone get diohhrea with them. Friday was interesting. It killed the pain pretty quickly, and the inflammation is not as bad as it was, but the pain today has been crap especially on my left hand and the pinch grip. I took some paracetamol this afternoon to see if it would elevate the pain, and no joy. I can't get an appointment with the Gp until 25th Janaury and my next appointment with rhummy is not until 2nd feb. Cannot put left hand down at the mo, how long should a steroid injection last. My brother who has PA said the jab did nothing for him, it has helped for me, but my thumb is not happy, cannot straighen it.

hi paula so sorry you had a reaction to it, do you think its definatlly to do with the injection.
my 1st injection did not work at all, my 2nd was about 5 days so heres hoping the next will be longer. everyone is different tho.
i really hope the gp can help you, can you not call for emeragancy appointment?

Hi Davina,
I had pretty bad upset tummy within a day of the day, steroids do that to me. I think because I am not on the meds yet, that the symotoms are bad at the mo, I think the jab did not work as well as I thought it would, I feel incredibly tired today and fluey and the sleep last night was bad because of the pain and inflammation. Thanks Davina for getting back to me, I will try and get an appointment with the GP or someone else in the practice and see what they can do for pain relief. Good luck at the dentist, and hope you get the coil sorted soon. Take care xx
