Hi Paula, I've posted below. I have sero-negative rheumatoid arthritis, tested negative for rheumatoid factor. It can take longer to get a diagnosis in this case but they will take more bloods, examine you and ask lots of question about pain and stiffness. You might have an xray or be sent for a scan. There is nothing to be scared of and you are very lucky to be seen so quickly. As I've said in other posts, I hope you can get a quick diagnosis and some meds to help you.

Hi Paula
a rhumatologist will help you even if you not got RA and all arthritis is a lot better treated than it was 10 years ago & most people they can control it very well so dont worry

hi Paula, like bsk I have sero negative RA. Was diagnosed march 2011 and here i am in december with stiffness sometimes but not as much as before due to meds. I get aches and pains but no were near what they were. I struggle more with the weariness now and not having the same energy to do what i use to but you learn to live with it and adapt as you need to as you go along. They should be able to help so don't be scared and write down any questions and keep asking them whenever you have to. Merry Christmas x
