Subject: First Appointment

I have a first appointment coming in October with a rheumatologist and don't know what to expect. I think it might be RA but obviously 'till it's diagnosed - who knows!! How long does it take to be diagnosed and do they start treatment immediately. I have been suffering terrible pain in both feet, ankles, hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders for a long time. Some days I just want to stay in bed!! Reading some of the personal stories is quite scary. I would just like to know the procedures although I guess they are individual. Thanks to anyone who replies.
