Hi I'm abit worried I went to doctor other day as I have a wound on my knee where needle went in it's either eczema or maybe reaction to cortisone I don't know but the doctor examined my knee he said it was swollen and felt warm he has given me antibiotics he said if I get fever or the swelling gets worse or hot to touch I go back and will have to go to hospital for intravenous antibiotics. When I'm on my feet it's not to bad but when I'm sitting my knee feels really hot but when I feel it it's warm and still swollen more than one wound now aswell bit worried hoping I can hold on til Monday and see my doctor again but don't want to put myself in danger

Hi Laura, very occasionally an infection can develop after getting a steroid injection, your doctor has given you an antibiotic so hopefully this will clear it up, just keep an eye on it and if you notice a red line coming from it or feel unwell then go to the A & E right away.
