Subject: Can anyone advice me
Went to A&E with hubby. In July he had a fall and chipped the bone in his elbow along with soft skin tissue damaged.All healed up. Then two weeks ago the elbow had a Jelly like swelling, Saturday it came up like a Golf Ball, told at A&E it is a Bursitis don't worry its nothing. I am not the one for taking its nothing for an answer, he explained loosely what it was and said look out for infection. I have seen on here some of you mention that you suffer with this. Can you give advice on how he would know it is infected? I am not sure what the DR meant by that. What should he be doing to help it. I am furious with the A&E, "you don't want me to write a prescrption for you do you" was his parting words. "Go to your GP". Rude was his middle name. Thanks to anyone who can help.

If it becomes hot and red and he has a fever. That is what I would look out for.

As BSK said look for heat and redness Marlene. I think some of these A&E docs need to get off their conveyer belt..... I know they work stupidly long hours and get a lot of their time wasted but a nice bedside manner wouldn't go a miss.
