Subject: Re: Is it strange that it's not in my fingers and toes??
Hiya Claire and Tom I've had PA since I was 9 (I'm now 32 so just over 22 years). My PA is referred to as "Large Joint Symmetrical Anthropy" and does exactly what it says on the tin! I only get it in the large joints and if I have it on one side then it very swiftly appears on the other side of the body. only in the last couple of years have i started to have any PA in my finger joints but only one end joint and both bottom thumb joints (where they join the wrist). My mum has developed arther in the last few years and her fingers are affected. The whole finger swells and the medical term for this is "sausage finger" which I think is too funny. So Claire, fingers crossed (while you still can lol) that it doesn't affect your fingers as it makes life a million times easier if it doesn't. Take care Lou x
