hi as the title says is anyone having a flu jab this year and if so do you know if it will counter out any of the meds or make your arthritis worse thanks guys. xx

I know people on dmards and biologics should have flu jab. They gave a combined flu and swine flu last year and it did make it worse for a few days.
Doesn't affect meds at all.

I swear by the flu jab. We have enough to deal with. My advice as long as your GP says its ok go for it.

Just the question i was going to ask i have had RA for 10 yrs and never been offered the Flu Jab , but out of the blue today got a letter saying to make an appointment for one what's that all about !

Can only tell you that at first ever visit to consultant this year when I was diagnosed he said I will get free flu jab and to make sure i make appt with docs for it. got to call them tomorrow on something else and will be asking how/when i get it. good news that letters are being sent out - good service I say x

The reason more people are being invited to take the flu jab is simply because it has been made more available. The Goverment have got this one right for a change Once you are on the books you will be called every year. My advice is take it. Fingers crossed no flu for 6yrs that can only be a bonus for all of us. We have enough to be dealing with. Take Care X
