Hi Laura, i suffer with musculskelatal disorder(not to sure of spelling) this causes chest pain and i was told to press the chest bone area if it causes more pain unlikely to be heart problems. You are right to check with your doctor. I know it can be scary so check it out for peace of mind. If you get concerned in the meantime you can always call NHS direct.Take Care hope it all goes away soon.

My Fibro causes mu ribs and chest to hurt a lot. There have been many times I swore I was having a heart attack but I wasnt and my heart was fine ((many ECGs)). Think the illness is a wierd one and lot of my chest problems are either my stomach pushing on ribs or causing my heart to race. Majority of the meds do this too. I would get it checked for piece of mind and hopefully its just the fibro doing what it does best and messes with our body

I call it more like stiffness especially 1st thing in the morning and mine can swell up too even though the Rheumies say Fibro does not cause swelling - in my experience it most definately does !!

My legs and arms feel swollen and sore all the day. Morning and nights are the worse but once I get moving I can sort of do things. However when my hands and fingers start hurting theres not great deal I can do as cant use a computer etc.
