Subject: RA?

Hello, I'm a 36 yr old woman & have been suffering with some form of arthritis for about 4 months now. All symptoms point to RA but the results came back negative. The consultant was busy telling me that my inflammatory indicators were negative (as I sat in front of her with swollen fingers & knuckles), so it can't be that. I'm finding it really frustrating as I am a single parent of 2 & can't do anything! Any activity whatsoever results in swelling, pain, stiffness & fatigue. Any ideas anybody? Pleeeeease

Hi Julie,My names Kay & i'm 41,i've had RA for 3yrs now & i too was negative.Mine started similar to yours but also in my feet, knees & anywhere else it cared to go.I had to keep going to my doctor for months before she refered me to my local hospital who deals with RA.I would tell you don't give up keep going to your docs & pestering them you can't carry on the way you're going.I know exactly what you're going threw.Ibuprofen might help a little, but i urge you to keep fighting for yourself as know one else will. The sooner you start treatment the better as the longer you don't have anything the worse it can get.Hope you get sorted very soon .Keep me updated on your progress. It's always good to have a chat with someone in the same boat.
Take care Kay x

Hello Julie,
I've had RA, I believe since 2000, much like you, swollen hands, feet, and shoulders, in constant pain, and with two children. I was given diclofenac (an anti-inflammatory) to ease the pain. As soon as I started taking the diclofenac, it seems the RA got worse and that was when I was eventually diagnosed in 2002. Carried on taking diclofenac and after a while, I was also offered methotrexate. I refused it though because I was very worried about the toxicity of these drugs, but was told that if I didn't act quickly that I would soon be in a wheelchair. Then, I walked like I was 80, and felt like I was 90 (I am 48). I was tired, in pain, and depressed. Then I discovered the antibiotic therapy and within weeks I felt like I had been reborn. Its safe and very effective. There is only one consultant in the UK, who will deliver this type of treatment, and like myself, there are many people who visit and have never looked back. I still work full-time, and do everything that had been part of my life before this disease came in. I have to tell you that was in 2002, and on a recent visit to my local hospital, the then rheumatologist saw me and could not believe it was me. This is a terrible disease and you must, and I mean must get started on this treatment - it works no matter what your GP tells you. I have been there with them all saying it does not work.Well, I have proved them so wrong as well as thousands of others have. You must and I say again must start this treatment as soon as possible. I would also urge anyone to try it - don't worry if you have had this disease for many years as I know of people who have had fantastic improvement. Please help yourself whatever it takes. We are all in this together. I have my life back. Please email me and we can arrange to chat. gfilipe@hotmail.co.uk.

I am 57 and like you had swollen joints felt very tired and run down. I went to see my Doctor last October and was given a blood test that came back negative, but because I was insistent that something was wrong Doctor referred my to see Rheumatologist because it ran in the family. It only took the Consultant a minute to diagnose me with RA. There is a condition called Zero Negative RA. Meaning that your blood result is normal for RA. Can you see another Doctor in your Practice or be more insistent. I wish you luck.

I too suffer with RA, but I won't touch any medication unless it's natural. The side effects scare the hell out of me. I can barely do anything with my hands, as soon as I just as much as touch something the pain rushes through my joints like a rollercoaster on steroids. I've recently come across a natural Ayurvedic product that works magic! I'm on my third months supply and I can't even feel half as much pain as before.

There's really so many benefits from taking the natural route. There's no side effects, and not only does it take care of the pain, it actually cures the RA along with making me feel energetic and confident. I suggest you check it out. Here's the link: http://yogamyst.wordpress.com/joint-health/
