Hi everyone,
So glad to of found this great place where l can pick all your brains!!
I was diagnosed with this beast about 13 months ago and feel like l have been on a rollercoaster ever since...now finally l have been started on the biologic Cimizia so hoping this will control my symptoms better!!
Would love to be able to wear high heels again if my feet ever become less swollen!!lol

Hi Lisa... welcome! I've not been able to wear high heels for years :-( I'm only 32 and a bit "curvy" so could really benefit from the height. Kitten heels in the early 2000s were great but now the fashion is for sky scraping heels I don't have a chance. I was excited when wedge heels became fashionable again 'cos when I was 18 I had an amazing pair that I lived in. I went into every high street shop and the difference between the heel height and the sole height was just too much and threw me forwards making my knees hurt. I finally found a pair in office that are amazing - they are beautifully simple, elegant and go with everything and I walk a million times better in those than any other shoe I own as flats are litterally flat now and force me to put all my weight in my heels so that I waddle when I walk lol. Unless you have arther, no-one understands that simple things, like buying shoes, is a nightmare. That's why this forum is so great - people understand and can offer practical advice and great support. Hope to see you on here again

hi lisa.... welcome i hope you find this forum as helpful as i have i to have just recently been diagnosed with pa it is a terrible disease and on days when im feeling really low i find reading and writing back to others on here really helpful, i cant wear heels and i have a wardrobe full on the highest heels you can imagine think i would be aswell selling them lol, i like louloubelle wear wedges if i feel i can they r much easier on your feet but most of time i wear flat it doesnt look to good wearing heels with 2 walking sticks lol. I am 34 and my pain started last year and has progressivly got worse throughout i have pain in every joint my feet,toes knees,hips,back,neck,shoulders,elbows(which just started becoming sore the other day),wrists,fingers, i have tried a few DMARD(disease modifying anti-rhuematic drugs) but as yet none has worked so it is kind of a waiting game to get on the correct meds i hope you find an improvement soon.... anything you want to ask i will try my best to answer but im sure there are plenty of the other guys on here that are only to willing to give out good advise
