Subject: aaaggghhhhh my blooming hands
im getting married on wednesday so over the past week ive been trying to rest as much as possible and not over do anything as im in a bit of a flare at the moment so takes me days to recover if i do even just a bit too much.
Well my hands are like saussages! my ring finger is remaining rather normal (if i can correctly remember what that is lol), so im not too worried but the rest of my hands are really uncomfortable and sore. Very puffy, boiling hot! so wondering if anyone has any little tricks which they use to give their hands a bit of a break for a few hours so i can do it before the ceremony :)
any advice would be great as im getting a little worried im going to end up dropping his ring or drop the pen when im about to sign the register. :/

congratulations kirst, hope you have a brilliant day. In addition to the drugs i have used an ice bag to stop the swelling it has more effect on the hand than the fingers but i don't know if that would be a practical option. At least your ring finger is playing ball - hopefully someone will come along with a great solution.

Have a wonderful day, try putting your hands under cold running water. Its hard we all would like to give you a cure for your special day, but i am sure you will feel like a princess and get through your day walking on air as we all learn to do. congrats for the day kirst. You can try cold and hot compress on alternate times. Some times it works but effect is not always guaranteed.

thankyou all :) I will certainly try the hot and cold. I will give it a go tomorrow and if it goes well i will certainly be going that on the day.
Im soooooooo nervous im feeling sick all day now lol. i will let you all know how the day goes at the end of the week. We are going to a hotel in a secret location as a wedding gift from my fantastic auntie :)
