Subject: mobility allowance!
hi guys, does any one know if its possible to get a mobility allowance,? when u claim working tax and childrens tax credits ...would it be worth the time and affort of trying to get it ?

hello i have never heard of a mobility allowance with tax credits, only with disability living allowance which there are 2 parts, care and mobility which you are assessed on. not sure if that is what you mean?

hi do you mean would it effect your tax and child credits no it wont you can claim dla (disability living allowance)this has a mobilty section and it doesnt effect any other benefits and you can even work and claim it,hope this helps sandra

hi and thanks for the info, i work and am a single mum, so i claim working tax,also child tax credits,.. i,m finding things harder and harder to do more hrs, was just wondering if there is any thing else i was entitled too, and some one mentioned a mobilty allowance, any idea how i start the ball rolling ? as i said new to all this ... thanks for letting me pick ur brains ..

you can go on to www.direct.gov.uk that will give lots of info, and you can ring 08457-123456 to get a claim form i would strongly advice you getting help from citizens advice to fill them out. good luck. t/c
