sandra I was on Hydroxy for about 9 months with not much change. The only side effect I had was running to the loo a lot at the beginning but that soon wore off. Hope it works for you ;0) Just to mention to watch for any changes in your vision as it can affect the eyes.

hi sandra i've been on hydroxy since nov 2010 and still to see improvement. i am reducing my prednislone and in pain now so i've stopped reducing for this month and see the rheumy on the 8th feb.
i'm going to the options on weds due to my eyes being very sore at night and keep getting double vision.

Hi Sandra, I have been on Hydroxy for 15 weeks now for PA and have noticed no change at all. First week felt slightly sick but that was the only side effect and soon wore off. Hope they 'kick' in soon :)

hey, been on hydroxy for 6 months for RA and not made one tiny bit of difference that I can see.lol not had any adverse effects either though so I guess it could be worse.
hope you get on better with it!

was on this for 7 years along side methotrexate, i dont think it did anything at all. What it did do before i took myself off it was cause me massive itching attacks.. uncontrollable itching and drove me round the bend. My neighbour also has the itching attacks. When i stopped the itching also stopped.
