Subject: RA and other symptoms
My husband suffers with RA in his hand, Knees, wrists mainly, but recently has had breathlessness and chest pains. The hospital admitted him for tests and after a chest scan and blood tests can find nothing wrong with him and have put it down to his RA flare up. Has anybody had any similar experiences with RA? Would appreciate your answers because he his getting depressed and in danger of losing his job, although we have been advised about DDA and he is applying for disability it seems incredibly difficult to get DLA. All the worry is not helping him. Thanks for listening. Kath

I've had RA for many years in my hands. On really bad days I wasn't able to hold a cup or use my computer without pain. I had to leave my job as I'm on the computer all day. Since I'm allergic to seafood I can't take glucosomine or any cortisoen due to the preservatives they contain. For the last seven months I've been using health gloves with thermomedic therapy and am really pleased with the way they help stop the RA pain. It's not a cure but I can get on with my life without pain, afterall there's not much you can do if you can't use your hands!!
