Subject: Coffee and mtx

ive heard that coffee or caffeine can stop methotraxate working properly, has anyone else heard this?? its hard enough getting by with coffee never mind trying to plough on in life with out it! please advise.

I have heard the same thing also, Its the caffeine and any other beverage, as well as over the counter meds, a lot of them contain caffeine. According to research its only a few people that it doesnt work properly for. And anything over 10mgs of mtx it works better. So I was told unless you drink extreme amounts daily on a regular basis so I wouldnt worry to much. T.C.
