Subject: arthritis and skin
I have had osteoarthritis, have had for some years, I also have peeling skin on my fingers, really strange, the doctor says maybe infection and giving antibiotics, but I have had this for years. I am stiff and ache in my back and feet, but still able to get around, feel a fraud after reading how ill people are on this forum.Do you think it is connected to the arthritis? Anyone else with this problem?

I have had Ostearthritis from a very early age of 17 and in serve pain all of time, and have difficulties with walking and climbing stairs. I first did my knee in at 17 it gave way on for no reason at all and had loads of key hole surgery on it and still got major problems with it now. I have now OA in both knees at the back of my kneecaps which is extremly serve painful and it will get lot worse as I get older and now aged 39 and still no change still in loads of pain.

I, like Sue have also had Osteoarthritis from a young age. I have also had really dry/sometimes peeling skin on my fingers & toes. I have never thought they could be related?

To help with my OA I have a special Knee Support which is heat resistance, which I only wear for bed but it does make the knee sweat believe you me. It was my Physio and my GP who recommended me getting one it does not take the pain away as wish it did, but it helps for extra comfort support whilst in bed asleep.
