Subject: meds

hi all just wanted to post that those of you with oa and inflimation the meds do help i have been on mine since dec and now have my life back it is not all doom and gloom they do work when they get the right ones i no longer feel exhausted and have swollen fingers and feet hips and knees not os stiff or painfull. up till then would get up and 9/10am struggle down stairs get dressed then fall asleep on settee before working 4 hours then home again and fall asleep was waking during the night as well which did not help. so take the meds they do take months to kick in so do not expect miricals if no change after 3 months get them to try different ones. and take pain meds if you need them i put off all meds i could but they make such a difference i have my life back and it great val

Great to hear that Valh. I've been on Plaquenil since March but sadly still have new swelling especially my wrist and 1 knuckle - these are all new since starting the Plaquenil. I don't go back to the Rhuemie till end June so will see what they say. Perhaps I havn't given it long enough ? It's always great to hear a success story ;0)

Oh valh its an anti inflam. I used to be on Diclofenac but the GP took me off them cos the blood tests shown that I'm anaemic and she said these can make the stomach bleed. Been on Iron meds for 4 months then I've got to have another blood test.
