Subject: Mtx injections

Hi guys! I've been on 15mg mtx shots quite a while now. Am waiting for delivery so can have 17.5mg for 4wks then up to 20mg in prep for my Remicade. Now i'll try not to ask this question in a confusing way. My 15mg shots have been pre loaded syringes. The 20mg are pre loaded syringes but you can't get 17.5mg so i'm having to do a 15mg and a 2.5mg. Now the 15mg is fine coz it's as I have been doing but the 2.5mg comes in vials I have to draw myself. Now has anyone else had this dose done this way because i'm a bit nervous a) because i'm worried i'll draw it wrong and b) the dr has given me the syringes and needles but I have to draw it with a green needle, swap it to an orange one to inject but the the orange needle looks thicker than the pre loaded ones i'm used to. If anyone has had to do this, what colour needle do you inject with, is it easy to draw from the vial and If u had to swap needles over is it easy? Thanks in advance. Abbie X
