hi Jill, did post to you on another thread about gastritis. Sorry you are feeling bad but good to hear from you. I've gone on strike and refusing to take Methotrexate until docs sort out my high gamma gt results. Had confrontation with nurse who is firmly of the opinion I am a drinker, even after a conversation with my gp who rang her up. I am really worried that I have what my mum had as have some of the same symptoms. Need to get it sorted. Wrote Gp letter and rheumy too (for him to read on his return from his 6 week hols!)Probably do me more harm than good but I don't see what choice I have. Can't go on taking meds ad infinitum if they are damaging my liver. xx

hi Jill, Thanks. Just got a phone call from my gp and she is arranging blood tests and a referral to a liver specialist. I got the impression she doesn't think I've got liver disease but is not taking any chances and is taking my concerns seriously. I'm glad as it will settle the question one way or another. Found out there are other specialist nurses at my hospital so am going to ask for a transfer. Really had enough of the one I've got. She told me that the blood tests my GP does give different results to hers so she couldn't compare them. GP says it is tosh as they go to the same hospital! Told to take the lower dose of Mtx next week and doesn't think it will be a problem in the short term. How are you today? xx
