Ive mentioned before that i have a bakers cyst, this is giving me so much pain and i can only get about indoors, im looking for personal experiences please as to what worked, time scale ect, they wont remove it as they say it will just come back, did anyone here have a cortisone injection for it, and did it help? im thinking of asking the rheummy doc for one at my next appointment in june, or i could ask tomorrow when i go for my humira jab.

Hi Maz I did google it, dont be too scared, apprently its common with ppl with Arthritis etc,its fluid filled, and usually on knee, they say there is self help, i.e. anti inflams etc, ice packs, bandages to suppoirt the cyst, or u can hve cortisteroid injections, if that doenst help with the stiffness and pain then they can drain the cyst.......I personally after reading all about it, I wld have it drained once and for all......(havnt read about How they drain it mind) if u cant cope with that, doc shld give u the jab........dont be too worried, im sure u wld be more comfortable Not having it......and its nowt sinister, found usually in women more than men, simply becos women get Artha or Osteo more than Men, and usually over age 40, altho can happen to any age!.....hope that helps xx(hehe Im pretending to be a brainbox, but I just read it and rememberd lolol) x oops just rememberd a bit more, if u want it drained, has to be done under Arthroscopy, keyhole, drain it, and fix any joint probs ,if any, whilst ya under G .A.
