Subject: Really struggling today!

Hi all! Just need a rant really. I'm in ALOT of pain today and everything hurts and i'm just so tired and emotional from it all. I'm taking pain relief every 2hrs but not getting much relief If any. My friend has bought me a dual tens machine but don't know when she'll be dropping it round so I guess i'll just cover myself in hot water bottles and see If that helps. I had my second mtx injection yesterday. Was a bit achey after it last week so wandering If this is just a side effect and will pass. Does anyone else get this? If i'm still like this tomorrow could go see the dr on Monday but thinking about it, what can she do? Anyway, enough of this moaning just at the end of my tether.

Hi everyone! Thank you for your concern, it means alot. I went to the dr's this morn and He spoke to my Rheumy who said i'm down for next available apt. I've been given liquid morphine. I have to take half a teaspoon first dose then can take full spoon If needed after that. Can take it every 4hrs 24/7. Have to go back weds coz by then he will know what dose I need and will be able t give it to me in slow release tablet form. If still in pain after 3 more injections and had no apt, Rheumy will see me in emergency clinic. Lets hope things will get better now.

Hi Abbie! Thank god they gave you some decent pain relief. Is it helping? My consultant thinks I have a very high pain threshold so wont give me anything higher than Tramadol. What a bitch! lol She doesnt want me to be getting hooked on morphine. i can undertsand her concern but Im in bloody pain here!

Hope youre ok : )

Hi Lynn and Verity! So glad I got decent pain relief too. First dose was very small and did nothing for pain but made me feel like i'd had a couple of Cheeky afternoon wines. Next dose bit bigger, eased pain a bit but Only lasted 3hrs ish. Took bit bigger dose about 10mins ago feeling all warm and fuzzy lol but that is with all my night meds. Hopefully it'll kick in for me to get a decent nights sleep. Thanks guys XXX
