hi every 1 i forgot to ask does any 1 have anemia with there RA im on 6 iron pills a day lol just to add to the fatigue lol oh and im back on my methotrxate now after having anti biotics for 3 weeks thank god xx

Hi Sue,
I have anaemia along side RA. Im on 3 iron pills a day but i still get very tired. No matter what i do my blood results just tend to be pretty rubbish!

I have anaemia and RA, my rhummy told me they usually go hand in hand.
Out of curiousity Verity what is your blood reading? My h.b. is 10.5. I believe it should be 12.5.
I am not on any iron pills, mind I am not tired either.

Hi Angela
With the iron pills I tend to be low end of 10 or high 9's. It fluctuates from week to week. Although Its better than it was before the iron pills I still get tired. its frustrating! Theres things I need to do other than sleeping! lol

I think iron levels can also be dependent on your family history? My mum has always had low iron levels which doesn't help matters!

hi all thanks my hb levels was 6.5 when i first started taking my iron pills but now its upto 8.5 but at least im escaping the iron injection cause its on the up lol

hi yeah i am on 3 a day as well and only got anemia since havin this i think my level was 6 .5 at start and goin back next week for more bloods to see how its goin .but my mxt startin to kick in now am on 20 mg a day so tiredness not as bad .
