Hi Karen,
I have just posted my story of living with arthritis and beating it.You may find some info re foods. In my opinion they play a very minor part in controling your r.a. Better to concentrate on avoiding stress, exercising to the max and keeping to a healthy diet.Feel free to contact me with any specific problems

I have a tendancy to get stressed easily. (Two teens and a 3 yr old in the family will certainly see to that, bless 'em!) I certainly do wonder if being stressed can encourage flare ups for me (or make the symptoms worse.) I have read though that certain foods/vitamins are good for fighting stress levels (as is getting a good night's rest and exercise of course,) so I should really look into that. Just wish I could be more like my mum and learn not to worry about things...But I guess that wouldn't be me then, would it? Grrrr.

Just found this bit of info on stress fighting foods. Some of it I knew, some I didn't.

I dont know if anyone has heard of it before but the Margaret Hills diet has had loads of success. Its really intense and difficult to stick to but the results are pretty good. I find I can't eat any acidic foods. If I as much as look at a tomato I flare up. Stuff like, lemons, cheese etc also make me react. Its pretty tough cutting stuff out but worth it in the end : )
