Subject: So Fed Up
I had my first consultant appointment today, and it was a total disaster. I am no further forward and feel like I am continuing on the same merry-go-round that I have been on for the past 10 years! He took my history, and exaimed my wrists. Agreed there was some swelling but not classic signs of arthritis, and basically dismissed my recent blood results. He is referring my on for an ultrasound scan, and will contact me upon those results, but was saying that it may be back to the surgeon again. I really dont want that ... my left wrist is not right post 3 surgeries, what with scaring and etc. I really dont want to go down that route with the right wrist. I have no idea what to think anymore ... maybe I had too high of an expectation today. I am just so flippin frustrated. Michelle x

hi michelle the scan might show something i know how u feel my first visit all swelling had gone and had had it for 9 months lol so blood test and go back in 3 months we want a magic wand but not one out there

HI michelle...im so sorry ya feeling so low, cant say I blame u.... if it helps, altho I have been diagnosed with reiters disease tht has left me with chronic Inflamatory Arthritis in every joint and tendon and ligament etc.... my rhummy told me there is Nowt that he can do for me any more..... I go and see my Rhumatology n Biologic Nurse instead, to see how I am coping on my meds etc..... My rhummy told me that if a critical problem arises, and damage is happneing(which is has/is) I will refered back to my surgeons!..... ive had two shoulder ops due to spurs growing and catching the tendons!( due to reiters) also two knee arthroscopies, as cartledge all broken and gone, so washed it all away.... two hip operations.....and one spine op, but due another this coming new year(if I decide to do it).... they keep refering me back to surgeons, so I do understand your frustration..... remind me, do u have joint probs anywhere else? ps ive also had two carpal tunnel ops on both hands! falling apart here.... anyway try stay pos, wait for scan ok.... take it from there....Chin up now...Lots love Jill x

Thank you for your replies ... was feeling so hacked off yesterday, but today is another day. I will wait for the results of the scans in both wrists and see what transpires. Jill .. I havent got too many problems elsewhere, other than niggles in my neck area and hips. The pain isnt constant in those area's, its just niggly at times. I do think though that the neck pain is causing the headaches. Anyway, will wait and see what happens ... will keep smiling ... there are many in a worst position that me. Hi Michelle, i ve got my neck collar on at mo, and my upper spine(thorasic) is painful, so need my collar, the last few days my head feel like its being crushed...terrible headaches, and im on morphine and that still wont take away my headaches....... think my neck is fusing itself...only got 4 discs instead of 7....im fed up today, cos i feel unwell bigtime!....anyway tomoz is anothe day(ps had this for days) but will still be positive for tomoz lolol take care and come bk soon xx

Im kinda happy tho....cos on 27th my fellla was a grandad again for 2nd time lol...his grandson weighed 9lb and his daughter is only 5ft nothing lol.... hes gorjus....but they live in yorkshire and hes gone up last night nd im left here...jelos wanted to see the babe...instead ive got to look after my beasties on my own lol......... Trust me they have been beasties!!!! thing is, they dont want to go out anywhere, fine for me, cos im in agony wif neck etc, but they keep saying they r bored... but wont go out.... oh well.... anyway love to all take care Jill x
