Subject: flu jab

morning gals had another sleepless night only this time wasnt my arthur that kept mme awake was my arm aching from flu jab yesterday its red hot and really painful when anything touches it has anybody else had to have flu jab and is there arm same lol

Hey sharon, not had mine this year yet. But i usually get an aching arm for a couple of days after.

I think most injections make your arm go funny.
My advice is to rest it, but not too much :)

Hi Gals.....sas that deffo doesnt sound right!! i get flu jab every year, never felt like that b4.....I ve been in frigging bed all day with sore thraot and sicky tum, up now to go get my son from skool.Arggh!! wot a pain..... I also have the pnumonia jab, think thats every f yers, cant remember....... sas id ring ya dob bout that.... mb it is normal, and ive been lucky not having a reaction like yu take care x I use to be Gp Secretary..years ago tho...lol to look at my typing now and spelling errors, ya wldnt think so x

Jill sorry you're not feeling good today ((hug)) I had a cr*p week last week with sore throat and head cold. Think you may be confused I haven't had flu jab yet it was Sharon that has reaction.

hi jill yeah rung doc this morning he said that nothing to worry about some people do react this way but if no better by monday to call in at surgery to see him. its still red and tender but the lump has stopped getting bigger its about the size or a 50p piece now and hot,red and sore to touch hope your cold getting better take care lol

thanks jill knowing mt luck i will just get this arm sorted when its time for swine flu jab got that to look farward too in 2 wks.dont we just get all the nice things to look forward too (not)by the way love the joke section pmsl lots of love:0)

sharon hi there......there is another New Sharon in the forum, told her there is U lol....so we might get mixed up with replies..... lol can u two sort it out like...we can call u Shazzza lol perhaps....ya know the swineflu jab? i forgot about that, poo, when do we have that then? do we have to book it at surgery, or do they contact us...... i cldnt have my flu jab, still feeel strange, sore throat etc, think I caught this off one of the gals in here last week LOL...have a goood day ok x

hi jill they will send you a letter thats what my gp told me because we fall into the high risk catagory apparently due to taking immune suppressant drugs god i sound clever as for sorting out which sharon is which i will just put shaz from now on dont want to confuse you anymore than you already are hahah lol

Apparently in the Surgery I work in Swine flu vaccine not ready yet and GP's will have to be granted a licence to give it....but it could be different in England

OOOOH Im a welsh gal........welll kinda.....my maiden name is Hughes boyo! hehehehahe....im in east sussex..... near 1066 and all that....or mb u know of Rye! lovely countryside etc.... thank god at least ive got that to look at daily....imagine i lived in a flat, and stuck ther all day with a mad son!!! think id Hitch to Wales!! lol......love welsh accents....any gorjus men up there near u? pmsl lol, Rugby fellla type shapes and all that pmsl, go on ya goona make me jelos and tell me ya married to one !! lololol

LOl Jill I have n't got a strong Welsh accent as live in Cardiff not up a valley..of course lots of gorgeous men hun!! OH does n't play rugby anymore too old the mind is willing but the body says NO LOL 13 yr old son plays though !!!! Trust me standing on a cold sideline Saturday(he plays football as well) and Sunday with arthritis is not good...

lol Sas I know that feeling, both my younger boys Use to do Footie, lol Y do they do foootie in the winter??? many a time my nose was runnnning, without tisssues too....lol thank god for Sleeves eh? lol.... btw my son that wont go skool is nearly 5ft5, bout 9 stone(gained weight since not at skool) he wasnt to do rugby hes is the right size for it ....shame huh?

hi ive never had it b4 and have been offered it before because of the diabetes but never bothered. Now having the arthur i don't know weather to have it done what does everyone think about it ive heard so many ppl say i had it and they wished they hadn't puts u off a bit ay lol .

YES YES YES!!!!! MY Fella is diabetic, has it every year, neve gets flu, ive had it last 6 years, I dont get flu, but still get colds, dont hurt either!! U will derffo neeeed to have it anyway, when U begin the MTX, becos that is an Immune suppressant, means they will offf u it as precaution!...go for it Della, go only if u dong have a cold, Ive still got cold, so cant have it til nxt week...... love Jill
