Well done on the junk food stuff. Like you said, she's worried about you but it's probably difficult for her to understand.
Lots and lots and lots of love coming your way!

Awww Val, Listen to me please....when Mum wants to do the washing up, or put her clothes out, that her way of helping, I totally know wot ya mean about U feeling U have to help too, but ya bod needs the rest.....let Mum know tha the reason the washing isnt out yet, is beoc ya Fatigued, ua knackered.....if she sees that things arnt done, then mb she will realise Just how bad U r suffering...... also another idea, mb one U wont like much..... when U go to see your Luffffly Rumatologist, Take her with u, that way she will see the seriousness of your condition, it will give her insight just by being at the Hosp, she will also see other ppl that can barely walk....might wake her up a bit to this nasty disease.... the other thing is Val, correct me if im wrong sweetie, I get the feeling that U think that your artha isnt as bad as ours becos it is O.A.? Val it is.....becos O.A. means your joints wear out, just like the other Arthas...my inflam artha also wears out joints, and soft tisssues etc... there is no diff from O.A. R.A. P.A. I.A. so my girly friend this si the reason Y im goona NAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ya lol.... yu r important OK... to all ya family, and to ua lot in here...luff ya x

Val, your mom is just worry about you and Jill is right sit down and talk to her, and explain how her commments bother you.. and if she old like my mom in her 70's they are set in there ways.. My mom said to me she has no idea wher I got mine from , and to find out its on my dad side. But I wonder why my 2 sister are fine and they are older, why did not skip me to..

I got 2 comments from my husband saying that to me , and I just said don't say that, and I wont end up in a wheelchair. He knows how much it bothers me and he wont say a word again about it caz we sat down and talk.

Grrr. i now Try to take on that teflon quality where nothing sticks to me so i don't get too upset.

I gave up trying to explain in the end, but it was a good day. Paying for it now lol, and I have work tomorrow!

I nearly headbutted the ignornat cow, told her shes a stooopid twat, and never spoke to her again!! basically Kirsty, to this day, I WILL NOT suffer foools gladly! Pmsl LOL @ u Val...ya rite there the landing hurts big time, dunno y i keeep doing it hehaheh... Kirsty, one day your M8 will need u more than U need her...becos if her parents have sheltered her tooo much, her world will fall apart when she learns that things arnt so rosy when u grow up.....I gotta be honest, I had fab parents, and I guesss i was either ignorant to things nasty around me, or my parents kep things from me til I was 16....My grandad died when i was 17, totally devestated, first death i had experienced....I didnt cope at all well... but who ever does when that happens...point is, it hadnt occured to me that such a thing cld happen....and it shoook me bad....ages to come to terms with his death, also had nitemares about him being in his grave, deccomposing etc(sorry if upset anyone) but it was then and there that I decided to never get buried, so guess I learn something.....however later on in life, as u know about my earlier posting, Life too a terrrilbe turnm, was Not at all ready fo4r that, again who ever is, they r extreme things im talking about I know.....but my kids have all been brought up to know things like that happen, they also know we dont live for ever..... ppl die, animals die, rotten peeps out there, they know all about the dirty old paedos, told them it all....... its healthy to know all these things....... at an early age.... my parents always told me about never talking to strangers, be it men or women...anyway...she isnt grounded, so i guesss she cant understand your issues....u have yur family and now us....we r here for u ok x

My granddad died in January and I had to read a poem at his funeral...it was pretty difficult and I was so upset. It was around then that all this arthritis/Raynauds stuff started (the doc thought it might have been down to stress at first that bought on the flare ups), but you learn to cope with it - you get stronger each day.

I'm glad I have my family, a very close friend (who's 49) and I'm very glad I have you lot. VERY GLAD!!! It seems like older people than me understand everything a lot better than friends my age...but I guess that's just the way it is.

Lots of love!!

soz about your grandad. A death in the family can start arthritis off. My mum got cancer at the ahe of 50 and died in awfull pain two years later. It was dreadfull experience. Plus a year before that I lost a mate she only 24. we both got ill with the Asian flu at the same time. But she died. I started with aches and pains after that was only in my early twenties.
As jill says mabye your mate has been coseted away from life. Not experienced the hardy reality like us.
You take care. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Val I think it is just that mums dont understand. I constantly feel annoyed at my mum over comments she makes. Yesterday I stumbled in her doorway walking as though I had a few bags of shopping in my underwear and she said "Is it really that bad?" i felt like saying no I just walk like this for the fun of it and to draw attention from people in the street! other comments have been "ooh I dont think I would like to go through an opperation" (about having my new hip done) and "I havent been offered anything like that" (concerning my op) she has puffiness and sore joints and thinks that we have the same I tell her my joint is worn out and i need a new one but it does not seem to compute. I think both my parents think I am putting it on. Ah well ignorance is bliss, cant help but love them!

Jenny I can relate to what you are saying, I walk funny and a man on the street last friday ask if i was ok cause he thought I was having a stroke, I know he was only being concern, but really if you are having a stroke walking funny is not a sign.. My mom tells me I dont know where you got this from , as I said to her before i have 2 parent and no just one, and I have this from my dad side.. as witrh my sister in law said to me today you dont need your dryer hang out your clothes, I explain I have swoolen and painful feet and my joints are damage on my both feet, and she said that should not matter.. I was so mad , caz I never a lazy person, I always work hard non stop, and she thinks i dont needs meds , she said just get over it and let nature take its course.. Why do people think you are making your pain up?

I said to her if I could I would, I rather have my heath back then have this..
