Subject: HAS ANYONE EVER LOOKED INTO DIET......

My mum swears her sister (my aunt) controlled her arthritis for years when she bought a book that told her all the things to eat and not eat..i think dairy wasnt allowed..but not sure.. just wondering if anyone else has looked into or tried this

I think that depends on what kind of arthritis, but beef will cause flare ups, and spinish is not good if you have any kind of arthritis, I am looking in to diet as well, to try to control the flare ups.
My husband ask the Rhmy about diets to help this kind of condtion, and the Rhmy said we are not the cleaver yet... That is his words !!

I have looked into this and as far as I can work it's about balancing your Omega 6 Omega 3 ratio. Increase Omega 3 decrease Omega 6! Also "nightshade" foods are not good.

hi yes if u look on arthritis care lost of info on what helps flare ups and what can cause them.quite a few sights out there but although tried to stick to fresh fruit and veg with little red meat ect not helping me thought it would as only just starting with oa. mind u not keen on oily fish tut tut . always worth a try what works for u might not others some people find dairy causes flare ups others citrus so trial and error good luck

Hi all not found anything in my diet that kicks off a flare up. However I do find oily fish like salmon is very good. Try to eat it at least once a week. Also take codliver oil as backup too

you guys stil need to take meds tho, this is just something to think about and it cant hurt but only help..

I dont eat any diary produce at all, simply cos im alllergic to it...makes me ill... i also read somewhere that Brocoli was Bad for artha too....gotta be hoest, I live on fruit aned veg, eat a varied diet, cant see anything that triggers my flare ups either Lynne....however, Peanuts cause me....er..... lets say the rear end dont like em!! lolol....causes Proctitis! grrrrrrr
