Well, I am a bit nervous about taking this meds, so far so good, i have not been sick yet, and I am not sure how long after you take it before you get sick..

hi brebda....doubt u will feel sick at first...takes a few months to get into the sytem to work...dont remember feeling sick day i took it or even day after....anyway keep with it... goood luck x

Thanks Val, I hope so.. I was supposed to go to a garen party tonight, and I was not sure if i was going to go, since I cant drink, but feeling dizzy , tells me stay home

hi brenda when i first took mtx was fine that night felt sick and a bit dizzy nxt day but it soon passess every week it got better suffered from few mouth ulcers and my lip kept splitting as i found it made me really dry mouthed but got better as weeks passed it not the same for every one some people have no side effects stick with it lol

its scary at first when u read all the information i was exactly the same as you i knew nothing about it and noone that was taking it but been on it now for over 6 months first started on 15mg and now take 25mg weekly i have had various side effects but i found they pass the longer you are taking mtx tiredness is the worst for me but the rheumy has just told me this last week that the mtx is working so its worth sticking with it if you can lol

Hi Brenda just googles the seronegative thing our jill is right it's just a posh word of saying you have arthritis. Aparently that term affects people many forms of arthritis jill listed loads above.
These terms do scare you in the begining. You could always contAct you rheumy nurse and tell her you don't understand what your speciList meant. She will probably explain it in laymans terms. I know your worrying terribly ay the moment. But there is life with arthritis. Jill and I have had it for a couple of decades. God that makes us sound really old. Lolololol please try not to worry too much about the side effects. They monitered your bloods very closley so if something shows up they stop your meds before it can do any harm. Hope this helps.
