Hi jill I'm much the same can't get out of bed in the morning. Usually about 11 or 12 by the time I can get up even then I am sluggish. Then I've got a few hours of energy before I have to put my feet up and rest usually about 5.30pm that's me done for the day. I'm biltzed by then . Lol

Subject: Re: FATIGUE/tiredeness

The Fatigue bit part is one of the main things that gets me down with this RA. I mean don't get me wrong, i love sleep, absolutely love it to bits, but it seems to be ALL i want to do. Which makes me sad when you see other people up and out and about making a day of it and doing all their housework and then they often go out later on to the pub etc. I'm whacked after just puttin the washin out or washing the pots. I just can't find the energy and i think i am just wasting my life away, which upsets me. The only time i feel on top of the world and like i did before i got this illness, is when i have had some steroid injections done. Then i am like Wonder woman and just go ballistic, tidying, cleaning, running about here there and everwhere, full of beans. I wish i could just feel like that all the time, but sadly it only last about 5 weeks (if i'm lucky), then back to the extreme Fatigue again. I feel bad about it when i am sleeping and doing nowt around the house coz i feel as though my family think, 'lazy cow', but i just can't snap out of it. I wish they understood exactly what Fatigue is and that when you have to sleep, you really have to sleep, there and then. They say they understand but i'm not so sure.

Hugs to you Amber...and hugs to j who seems to be in a badish mood :(

Mine's strange...I can be okay for a while, then the next week it'll be tired almost constantly. I know what you mean though - one day of pottering about then people are going out clubbing, and saying I'm using it as an excuse not to go out with them. Silly people - if they're not even going to attempt to understand, then they're really not worth it.

HI Amber...i couldnt have put that explaination about fatigue better myself!...you r exactly right how it affects us all.... i feel exactly same, my steroids(have injections sometimes) they work, but not as long as 5 weeks, I also get the energy they give and do the 'catchup jobs'... and then family think Wow shes doing good! and then we go down hill again, Im forever saying to my fellla and children, im sorry but ive got to go to bed....feel i have to justify myself all the time....... even when i can do housework, when my fellla gets home, i say hey, i cleaned the kitchen, did sons room etc etc....he must think im nuts! he says to me"u dont have to tell me, i cn c what u have done" but really thats me showing him that Ive managed to do things around the house.... Amber do u suffer with a bad memory also?? I do, so bad, My gp sent me to have a CT scan of brain LOLOLOL(dont have one) to see whats going on etc, and various blood tests.... awaiting the results! LOL it will Hit the Front page of the newspapers saying LADY ALIVE AND WELL BUT HAS NO BRAIN!!! lolo....oh well lets c what happens...

take care ok, and we understand totally what yu r going thru, dont take too long to come bk to forum, u have been gone too long x Ps do U work Amber?

Anyway...is this nag Val day?

I'm agreeing with what the experts are saying :)
There's no harm in trying, even if they refuse you, you don't lose anything do you.
